WHAT WE HAVE DONE
Supporting infrastructure, healthcare, and community well-being in Balikumbat through the initiatives of MIDA.
Over 35 Million CFA Invested in Community Development Since 2019
MIDA continues to champion sustainable development and human empowerment across Balikumbat through strategic investments that strengthen infrastructure, improve healthcare, and expand educational opportunities. Since 2019, the organization has committed over 35 million Francs CFA toward transformative projects that directly uplift the Balikumbat Fon’s Palace, the Sub‑Divisional Hospital, and the wider community.
2019 💧Pipeborne Water Project (Balikumbat Fon’s Palace)
In 2019, MIDA funded and executed a major pipeborne water project at the Balikumbat Fon’s Palace, bringing clean, reliable running water to the Palace and surrounding quarters. This initiative addressed long‑standing water challenges and improved daily living conditions, public health, and community dignity.
2024 🏥 Hospital Equipment Supply (Balikumbat Sub‑Divisional Hospital)
Between 2024 and 2025, MIDA expanded its impact by providing modern hospital equipment such as blood count analyzers, ultrasound machines, biochemistry analyzers, microscopes, and other essential diagnostic equipment, etc to the Balikumbat Sub‑Divisional Hospital. The community is relieved from unnecessary deaths en route to the district hospitals 10 to 25 miles away.
2025 Community Support Partnership Initiative( Rockwall County Helping Hands)
On July 11th, 2025 MIDA fulfilled one of its not for profit obligations by offering its free services to another great cause for humanity organization, Rockwall County Helping Hands has has been providing help and hope to the community and neighbors since 1976. Helping Hands believes that no one in Rockwall County should go without food, shelter, or essential medical care.
MIDA 3_ hour service ranged from sorting and hanging clothing, prepared donations for the sales floor, tested small appliances and arranged merchandise for the Thrift Store.
We also sorted out needed food items for the Food Pantry clients in need of food.
MIDA members assisted in the pantry, intake and sorted donations, and stocked shelves.
Upcoming Community Convention
Mubako Community Convention – Dallas
The upcoming MIDA convention in Atlanta, GA will bring together members of the Mubako diaspora to strengthen community connections, celebrate our cultural heritage, and support initiatives that improve the well-being of our communities
This year’s convention will also focus on raising support for acquiring essential medical equipment for the Balikumbat Sub-Divisional Hospital. The goal is to help provide vital diagnostic tools such as full blood count analyzers, biochemistry analyzers, ultrasound machines, microscopes, and X-ray equipment that are greatly needed to improve healthcare accessibility in the Balikumbat Subdivision.
